employment history:pls help seniors i'm just confused/worried:(

hi everyone, i'm worried because of i'm a bit confused with my employer's company...
i've been hired to work with them since 2010.they have 4 locations but with different legal name.i mean example, donnie's restaurant has 4 location but they have also 4 different legal name like donnie's downtown resto, then the other donnie's gregoire resto,and etc.the legal name is named like for every location they have.this is just in one city.
my problem is my permit states there that i have to work at donnie's gregoire location but my employer let me work at the other location in downtown.my cheque also belong to the downtown location.when i got promoted as skilled worker that is the only time they put my name in the place where i really work.my boss explain to me that this doesn't matter because the business is just under one umbrella.but still i feel like still worried anyone has experience like this?pls help me enlighthen my mind.planning to send application this june,too.tnx

I think under your permit you cannot even get promoted..

in order for us to help you, provide more details like when did you come to canada how did you come.

your pay cheques if they were deposited by the same company under the same name etc etc.

Provide as much information as possible.

i came to canada as temporary worker- kitchen helper..work with them for 2 years as kitchen helper under gregoire location but they let me work at downtown location within that period.on the payroll it's under the downtown location.the problem there is my work permit which states there that i should work at gregoire location.then on my third year they promote me as supervisor.this one is perfect because my work permit, my cheque and the place i work were match.
i'm just worried about my low skilled work but my employer told me it is ok because the company is under one umbrella.just one owner but the compNy only has dour different legal name, different business number from canada revenue.it's like franchisee by his brothers but still my employer gets percentage for each location.

As long as he paid you from the same company - that is, it matches your work permit, you will be fine. That was your employer, I'm sure it's fine.

Bigger companies have multiple locations etc, I think you are worrying too much. As long as you can get the ref letter needed and you have been paid / employed by the company mentioned - I'm sure you will be fine.

If you can get it, I would. However, not everyone does.
