Hi Future Canadians ;D

I am a bit worried about this issue, on our EOI profile do we need to disclose our entire work history or just the ones we are claiming points for?

Reason I ask is I use to work for a really small company but the company have now closed down and there really is no way for me to get any sort of reference from them.

Also do I need to list on EOI unskilled jobs I did before I graduated that has no NOC number?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Put the ones you're only claiming points for under work experience and put the others under personal history.

There are 2 sections in your profile - Work history and Personal history - and they have to naturally be in sync with each other else you run the risk of being charged with misrepresentation. Which means that if you do not show a particular job in work history, you'll have to lie in personal history for the same time period. Don't do that.

Be honest with your entire background since the time you turned 18. CIC does extensive background checks and you don't want to be caught short for missing out on something.

You can always include this in the Letter of Explanation and highlight efforts made to get the references and also the relatively unimportant nature of this work experience because you aren't claiming (or getting) any CRS points for the same.

All the best!

I agree with Anya on this matter. In my opinion it can't be considered lying if you are declaring it in your personal history section. In your work experience section you should only declare jobs that you plan to claim points for and therefore able to provide required proof of performing the duties associated with the jobs.

Lying or misrepresentation in my opinion would arise if you were to omit information, for example work experience from both your work history and your personal history, which is not what I am suggesting.

All the best!!!!!

Exactly.. The problem is until u haven't received ita u need to put all in your work history. Once u will receive ita then u will be having an option to mention your experience, u will bifercate in these two. Correct me ita holders if i am wrong?

Secondly, i have a question to others that claiming points for your experience only if your noc matches. Does job title matches is a requirement? If i say job description matches but the job title is different? Will i able to mention the noc of that job description?

CIC doesn't give a hoot about job title, however what they definitely want to see is your job duties/responsibilities hence you should mention the NOC of the duties.

I renew question: ITA-holders - did you claim all your jobs in EE work history, or only those who gave you points? If you claimed all, did you have to provide epmloyment record/references for all of them?
Please I need help with this!

It's enough to list only those jobs that add to your program eligibility and CRS score. The other experiences can be shown in Personal history and you wouldn't need detailed reference letters for those. Just keep basic supporting evidence at hand authenticating those jobs as well in the highly unlikely scenario of VO requesting for those.

Hope this clarifies. All the best!

I have the employment letters on which company phone numbers and websites are mentioned together with the HR managers signatures. However I couldn't get my supervisors business card's from previous employers.

So should I just write their contact details on a separate sheet of paper and attach it together with the experience letters? so that it is easier to CIC to contact them?
