Hi VIP members/Senior and experts,

My boss doesn't want to give a employment certificate. Is there any legal way so I can ask them and I can obtain it? Is it legal not giving this to me and I was told that I can present some other form as a proof of employment? I cant understand, please help.

Another senior colleague or supervisor can give the employment reference on a plain piece of paper incorporating everything required by IRCC/CIC. You can then attach a copy of their ID card or call/business/complimentary card showing their contact information.

If what you mean is that you are working and don't have a copy of your employment letter, then I wonder how you got the job and started it. By law, your employer is meant to give you a copy of your employment contract/letter showing your responsibilties, remunearation and the terms and conditions of service. You may want to talk to others in your company/country about it.

Is it really possible for CIC to request for:
--Pay slip from current and previous employers when I have already submitted reference letters from employers?
--Bank Statements showing salaries inflow from current and former employer?

Yes, if they feel the need to get further clarification and proof on any work experience you have claimed on your application. They may go as far as requesting you attend an interview. This is rare but possible and it's for them to clear up any misgivings they may have about your application.

Hello,
What can we do in a case where pay slip was never given. Do we write a LOE stating this?
Also I will like to confirm of our normal birth certificate from the hospital is okay? Or is the NPC one the only accepted type?
And in a situation where employment letter can't be found, is it okay if my employer prints out a new one?

@Gladossy,
I am convinced that it is safer to use Certificate from NPC, since NPC is a government office.
Of course, employer can issue a new employment letter. I also think a new reference letter from your employer stating date of employment and other information should suffice.
Cheers.
