Hey guys, looking for some assistance.

I have been drawn from the pool and just getting everything together to lodge early next week. My employer will not my NOC code and stated ' since 'business name' is not supporting you in your application and you are pursuing your permanent residency on your own, we are not able to confirm your NOC code based on feedback from our lawyer. If you have legal counsel of your own that is assisting you in your application, that is something that they can review and assist you with. '

I was wondering am I able to still use my letter with my employment and claim the NOC code points without putting the information in the letter? Or is there any other way of proceeding?

Thanks!

Well you don't put the NOC code down, the employer just need to list your duties. The duties just need to closely match the noc code.

Umm you do know that NOC code is not necessary right? Most employers wouldn't even know their employee's NOC code in the first place.

Ohh for real? Awesome, so my best bet is just getting the duties to match up with NOC suggested ones and I will be all good?

Would it be useful to submit this note "stated ' since 'business name' is not supporting you in your application and you are pursuing your permanent residency on your own, we are not able to confirm your NOC code based on feedback from our lawyer. If you have legal counsel of your own that is assisting you in your application,.............." or email as evidence to CIC????

Just a question..........

Just ask him to write a regular employee reference letter listing your job duties.

Hey Kryt0n,

Is it ok if the employer mentions all my job duties in paragraph format or do I need to ask them to write it in a list?

Thanks,

It doesn't matter as long as it's clear and doesn't match the NOC duties exactly.
