Employer switch during permanent resident process ?

Hello all ,
I know a provincial nominee is expected to stay with the same employer during the whole process.
But what if someone was nominated and has applied for permanent residence already and his employer is asking him to do things that go against rules and threatens that person ? Can the person switch employer and proceed the permanent residence application if there are good reasons for the employer switch ? Or would it all start over again ?

Asking for a friend who is in this difficult situation and I sadly know nothing about such cases so thought I ask in here :)
Thank you

I have a friend in the same situation! But on CIC it already says "decision made" But, he is tired from his job, he gets bad hours and management blames everything on him! He wants to quit, but doesn't want to risk PR, should he wait for PPR and getting passport back and crossing the border! Or could it be a problem if he quits before getting PPR?

If he is already dm I would suggest he waits.
