I'm a little worried. Is it necessary for my employer to have a fax machine, because the document checklist states that reference letter should include fax number as well.

No, it's not a "requirement". It's just part of the contact information. If they don't have a fax number, they don't have one.

Thanks a bunch rjessome, I appreciate it. It's just that I work with a very small business and I was just concerned not having a fax machine and a website might be a potential a red flag.
