Guys will appreciate if you could answer these queries

My all employer reference letters are directed to Visa and Immigration Officer, Canada Immigration Center, Canadian Embassy. None of my ex-employers were ready to give this document without addressing to someone! I hope this shall be fine as I guess Canada Immigration Center will understand this?

Now, I just want to reconfirm what I am doing is correct:

Employer 1 (Very Big Pharma, 2 Years, NOC 2121), London, UK: I am submitting Reference Letter on Company Letter Head without Responsibilities + Letter from Mentor/Manager which gives 4-5 responsibilities (Original) + Job Offer + Experience Letter + Pay Slips + Awards Received During my Tenure in the UK

Employer 2 (10 Months, NOC 4163), Gurgaon, India and London, UK: I am submitting Reference Letter on Company Letter Head with 3-4 responsibilities, not sufficient, but what could I do, even getting a letter with 3-4 responsibilities was difficult (NOC 4163) with no further explanation + Payslips + Experience Letter + Relieving Letter

Employer 3 (10 Months, NOC 4163, though of no use), Gurgaon, India: Didn't show in Work History, but I am showing in Personal History. I was employed at really high salary as per India Standards so as and when I resigned, they got all cranky and turned as very bad employer but I have all the documents like relieving letter, experience letter, offer letter and all the pay slips from them, though relieving and experience letter I got by sending them a court notice! They were a start up!, so they were really pissed off as I left!

Employer 4 (1 year 6 Months, NOC 4163), Noida, India: I am submitting 3 Page Reference Letter (I was really impressed that to an extent they have gone) in which they explained everything! + Offer Letter + Increment Letter + Pay Slips

Employer 5 (6 Months, Subsidy of Employer 4, NOC 4163), London, UK: I am submitting Same Reference Letter in which they explained everything + Promotion Letter + Relocation Letter + Resignation Letter + Pay Slips

Employer 6 (Indian Subsidy of Employer 1, NOC 4163), India: I have not shown them in work history but could show them in personal history.

Look forward to replies from Seniors!

Well I am not a senior here but seems like you are good to go.. most of the employments are covered here with R&R (though less or more) which I presume CIC would understand.

Another letters addressed to CIC should not be problem at all.

It is terrifying to think that you miss one sentence, and the whole thing can be rejected (rather than CIC asking for more info)

Hi,

In Work History you need to show only the experience which you are claiming points for. The rest can be stated in Personaly History. In other words, you need reference letter/s only for the experience which gives you points.

Officialy:

"Your evidence should include a reference letter from your employer and previous pay stubs, where available.

The reference letter is an official document printed on company letterhead and must include
a. your name,
b. The company's contact information (address, telephone number and e-mail address),
c. The signature of your immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company.
d. The letter should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details:
i. job title, duties/responsibilities,
ii. job status (if current job),
iii. the dates you worked for the company,
iv. the number of work hours per week and your annual salary plus benefits.

You must scan all documents for this work experience and save them as one file. (Each work experience requires a separate file)."

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

What is extremely important is that your claimed experience has to match with CIC's NOC code lead statement and job duties/responsibilities (copy/paste is a big no-no).

If you can't get a reference letter in requested format stated above, check this thread for workarounds:

Thanks Johnny

I have letters of reference from all employers in Work History for whom I have claimed points however with Employer 1 I didn't get reference letter stating my roles and responsibilities. What I am reading here in this forum is to get the letter Notarized! (How in this world I could get letter "Notarized" when my ex-manager is in the UK and my job is in India and I keep going to & fro between Switzerland and India)

I could easily find a lawyer in India which will take some money and notarized it! Won't it be suspicious for Immigration and Visa Officer to see that address of letter from my manager is in London and I have got this letter Notarized in India! Obviously I wont go all the way to the UK to get letter notarized (Ticket from India and/or Visa cost close to 1200-1500 Pounds!)

I am asking this as it seems getting letter Notarized is trend! However I am giving reference letter in standard format (on company letter head) + payslips + contract letter + extension of contract + Awards received during my tenure with the company out of which two awards came from my mentor who has given me the letter)

Here I am asking? I am doing this correctly? Aren't I

I have the quite similar case as yours, some companies refuses to give me a reference letter and those who have given me have missed out few points like working hours, signature of your immediate supervisor etc.. they have stamped it though but signature is missing.

What happened to your case?
