Employer [HR] refuses official job letter with addnl. detailed job duties

Hello
Am in a soup because 5 years of my experience 2005-2010 were spent at an IT organization and they have refused to provide me an official letter beyond my start and end dates & job title.

Did anyone face a similar situation?
What are some alternative documents to furnish in above case?

Please note that this experience is vital for my NOC code , so I can't really "drop this employment" from my employment history.

Yes, I had similar issue and my manager was kind to write the same official letter adding my activities/duties.
