Employer Agent Threatning

Hey Guys, :(
I got my PR in Alberta through AINP on April 2014. I was being exploited so I left my job in alberta after almost 12 days and started working some other place. Then I changed my job again in June then worked in Alberta till October. Then I moved to British Columbia. It has been almost 2 years and now my agent is demanding money for my PR . He kind of threatening me regarding my residency. I have not done any fake documentation ever. I am concerned and feeling low about my situation.
I will really appreciate if I get some wise advice regarding my fear.

No I do not owe him any money. Instead my employer has not paid me at least 5000 dollars. I am just worried about leaving my job right after getting pr and i did not end my job in good term. I lived In Alberta for 6 months after getting my PR. That is it !!!!!

If employer has to pay your salary file a complaint against that employer. And, what does your agent got to do with that?

yes. That agent got me this job. It has been almost two years. I am just worried if he can manipulate my residency.

Ohhhh, right... this isn't an immigration issue. You are a permanent resident and as long as you got your status without any misrepresentation there's nothing your agent can do.

If there was anything at all wrong with your PR application and he's trying to blackmail you, that's another issue. But if you're clean, I'd be taking whatever legal steps are available to you against this agent.

I have not given any false information ever.
You have no obligation to stay in your PNP job forever after getting PR and your employer has no obligations to you either more than any other employee of theirs.

You have no obligations to stay in AB all your life either. You just have to intend to settle there when you apply and when you land as a PR and you did stay in AB several months after getting PR showing that you did not have any other intent at the time. However, sometimes things work out differently and according to the charter of rights and freedoms, a PR is allowed to live and work in any province.

If the thing here is that your former agent is now contacting you and demanding money that you don't owe them and threatening to otherwise tell immigration that you left your PNP job and moved to another province, this is extortion and you can take it to the police.

So it's up to you, you can tell the agent that you have not broken any rules and they should stop contacting you or you will file charges with the police for attempted extortion or if you have their threats in writing, you don't have to tell your agent anything, you can just go to the police with the email and file charges.

In addition to what Leon said you need to file a complaint against your employer (probably with department of labor) who owes you that CAD 5000.

You can complain to the employment standards if it's less than 6 months since you left the employer, see http://work.alberta.ca/employment-standards/employment-standards-complaint.html However, as it's more, you'll probably have to get a lawyer and sue him. But talk to the employment standards anyway just in case.
