Hi everyone

Is it true that emailing the embassy a lot is going to delay the process?
My husband is in the Iraqi military and he is in a verry dangerous situation and I am in Canada and I am 9 months pregnant and I need my husband here because I have no family here. I have been emailing the embassy explaining my situation and my lawyer just told me to stop doing so because it will delay the process. Is this true?

Thanks

I don't think that it will delay your application,
the problem is that if the case is within the timeframe it will be very difficult for you to get any results.
and probably they will not reply your e-mails.
Background check for the military seem to be a little bit longer,
and you may need to wait regardless of your pregnancy.
If you already have a lawyer taking your case, maybe its better to leave him all the processing.

Take care and enjoy your new baby when arrives.

Blessings

My lawyer has been doing absolutely nothing but waiting also. I've heard stories where lawyers have sent emails or done anything to get the process quicker. My lawyer seems to be putting a block to every thing and has no hope in doing anything to make things work...

Unfortunately, absolutely nothing can be done by yourself or by the lawyer to speed up the process. Though emailing a lot won't delay the app, there really is no point, as it won't affect the app in any positive way either.
