email from CIC about application update.....but

I got an email from CIC that my application has been updated and that I should log onto my cic account for details. I logged in there and there was no message or any change in status, is this normal? or am perhaps I missing something

When did you apply? I presume it is online application?

Depending on when you have applied it can be identified, whether there are grounds to worry.

Nothing to worry. It's just notification of your application status changing to OPEN. It comes late sometimes

Happened to me 2 times before getting an actual update...just ignore it.

Ok, thanks all for the reply. I applied online last week, on the 25th of June to be precise and got a similar mail the next day 26th. So I already got the first update email. I logged on and saw that the status has changed to Open. But there was no change this time, no messages. but i will just ignore it as advised.
