Eligibility for COQ Certification Points and CRS Score Boost

I am a professional in administration under NOC code 12010 (Supervisors of General Office and Administrative Support Workers). My CRS score is 480, and obtaining the COQ certification would add 50 points. Do I need relevant experience in that trade to gain the 50 points, or can my current job qualify me for the boost, increasing my chances of selection in the next draw? Please advise.
