Eligibility for Citizenship Application

I landed in Oct 2011 as PR than went back after 45 days.

Came back on Aug 2013 until today.

As per new rules i will be eligible in 31-Oct-2017.

I filled tax right from 2011 until 2016(pending).

In 2013 i stayed less than 182 days.( That will not count in calculation of last 4 years from date of application.

When i should be eligible for it as per new rules ? 31 Oct 2017 or after i file my tax for 2017 ( Feb/March 2018) ?

You must have met your personal income tax filing obligations in four taxation years that are fully or partially within the six years immediately before the date you apply.

If you file your taxes for 2016 (if had income in 2016) and stay in Canada 183 days you will be eligible to apply in October 2017.
Fulfilling tax filing obligations does not mean filing taxes. It means filing taxes if you have to. If you did not have any income you don't have to file tax return but still are eligible to apply for citizenship.

Fulfilling tax filing obligations does not mean filing taxes. It means filing taxes if you have to. If you did not have any income you don't have to file tax return but still are eligible to apply for citizenship.
