Have a Diploma in Industrial Automation. Working for 5 years as a Maintenance Engineer-Electrical. Applied under 7242(Industrial Electrician). Will be landing on 5th July....!!!

Hi, I am an electrical engineer. I first applied after the new law was passed but before the 38 NOC list came out. When the 38 list came out, electrical engineer was not one of them. I got rejected for this reason.

I filed another application after that, this time my wife as the principal applicant as her profession belongs to the 38 list (NOC 3152). Currently we are waiting for our medicals.

Electrical Engineers are not being processed under the current rule. But I just hope that you had applied under the old rules...

well....ya i applied in the yr 2007,bfore the 38 list of occ..... came into effect, n will hav to wait for 5 to 6 yrs. my wife has currently completed her graduation in B.SC (zoology). but I DONT think that, v can apply vice versa also. Is there ne other way out ?? or will hav to wait 4 the new list ...

I am an Electrical Engineer. I applied under category Industrial Elecrician (7242). I got first approval from CIO. and i have sent my application to CHC-ISB/CHC-London. I hope i will be through.

You need only to match duties, not the title.

Agreed with Irfana:
I have bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering & have got approval under NOC;9212 (Although Chemical engineers are not in 38NOC's). Its duties not the job Title.

ya.....v need only to match duties from the given list of occ......i hav my experience in power n distribution system so....i think noc code7243 ( POWER SYSTEM ELECTRICIAN) better suits me apart from noc code 2133( ELECTRICAL ENGINEER).BUT that too does nt falls under the list.
