Hi guys,

i've got one question, please. it doesn't concern me yet, but soon it will be.

I have read on the CIC website, to be eligible for Canadian Citizenship i have to be 1095 (3 of 4 years) in Canada. And I have to get the Permanent Residency before, ....ok...so far so good.

Now the 1095days start counting after I have obtained the PR status? Or does it count as soon as you arrive in Canada with your work permit?

My Case would be: I arrived July 2010, (applied for QSW/PR November 2010) and will get the PR status (hopefully)by the end of 2012. So, do those 2 years already count towards the 1095days to be eligible for C.Citizenship. ? I'm already here, working fulltime at the same employer since the beginning...

regards and thanks,

You can count 2 years time as a visitor/work/student prior to PR at 1/2 time for citizenship. So you would be credited with up to a year of the required 3 years residence.
