Me and my husband have our work permits ending in June 2015 and we will be filing for residency under CEC on 1st May 2015. Any one has idea on what basis can work permit get extended apart from LMO ? Also, as per new EE, how many draws will be conducted each month ?

Which province you are in now? May be you can apply for provincial nomination first?

If you want to stay in Canada while you apply then you may try to extend work visa. I am not the expert in this topic, so you can browse the thread 'Canada Experience Class' to know more.
