EE profile without spouse but married

I hope all members in this forum could assist me with this idea. My work permit is going to expire soon and I am sitting at 464 for over last 2 months. It seems that score may not drop to this level in near future. Now I am considering to exclude my spouse and create EE profile as a single applicant but married. As a single applicant my score would be 489. Would that be misrepresentation? Is there any inland applicant in this forum who have tried this approach? Please share your experience. That's misinterpretation. That's a huge no no.
I'm afraid you'll need to wait it out for the cut off score to lower.

I haven't read about anyone on this forum who has done this. In terms of creating a secondary profile with a "married" status is not misrepresentation as long as your spouse is NOT an accompanying dependant. If your spouse is planning to accompany you, then it is misrepresentation if you leave your partner's details out.

I would recommend waiting for a couple of months and the CRS will go down to the 460s, as the ITAs being sent out increases.

To increase your CRS you can mark you spouse as non-accompanying. Then your spouse will not get PR visa. You ll have to sponsor her through family sponsorship after getting PR.

Not advisable if your spouse is planning to land with you because the PR process through family sponsorship takes anywhere between 8 months to a year (read that somewhere on this forum). Also, if you suddenly decide to add your spouse as accompanying dependant after you receive ITA - your scores go down and there is increased scrutiny of your file because you were trying to go around the system. The new Express Entry system has been put in place so that people can't "skirt" or "fool" the system. Stick to the straight and narrow and all will be well - just be patient, your score is good enough to get an ITA.

Even if your spouse is not going to Canada. You need to declare her as spouse and the point system you use mist be that of married.

The reason single applicants get higher factor scores is because they are on their own in migrating.

Wouldn't make sense. They won't buy your story. Your spouse is already here so there's no good reason why he/she can't accompany you.

It's not like he/she's stuck in your home country at the moment and can't come to Canada for some convincing reason.

Irrespective of the fact that you mention your spouse as non accompanying, your CRS will be calculated based your marital status. If you intend to mark yourself as single inspite of being married then it is misrepresentation. So, IMO wait for scores to drop to get ITA.

464 is a pretty good score. That range has been given so many ITAs before. You'll just need to wait a few more months....but have faith, it will come!
