I'm creating EE profile to enter into the pool. However, I am not sure what NOC to select. Here is my scenario.
I came to Canada to work as "Software Engineer" under NOC 2173 on Oct'2014 and since then, I was working as Software Engineer, nothing change.
In April'2017, My company offered me local Job and a valid job offer with Job Title as "Technical Support Professional" [Tier 2 Support] and Job duties slightly different from NOC 2173.
When I try to find NOC for "Technical Support Professional", I only find NOC 2282 matching some title words like support, technical etc, and also, job duties of 2282 are like First line support, help desk etc. However, I'm providing 2nd line support to the Global customer. My Job duties somewhat match with NOC 2173 specifically, technical support, coordinate between product guys, customer and managers, troubleshoot the problem, find RCA, document RCA, support upgrade and maintenance procedures for operating systems, communications environments and applications software.
Currently, I'm on Valid Work Permit issued under NOC 2173 (intra-company transfer) and WP expires by Oct'2017.
Q1: What NOC Should I select that matches current job title?
Q2: Should I renew my work permit before creating EE profile as WP expires by Oct'2017 and Job title has already changed?
Please suggest.
