Hi Everyone,

We are 4 family members, Myself, My wife and two kids.

I am completing express entry profile. It is very strange that while filling information I am being asked the details of my spouse but there are no areas where they will ask me about the details of my children.

I remember filling the EE profile last year and within EE I had my profile, My wife's profile and My children info profile to fill in? Is this new system?

Please let me know thanks.

Don't worry, there is only one part in EE profile of your whole family. It's the proof of funds part where you have to tell the number of your family members.

You will be able to give detailed information about your kids when you get an ITA.

Thank you for the quick reply. I still have some doubts. I am aware of the detailed info to be provided for the children once I have ITA (I received ITA in Jan and by March they have already cancelled my application). However, I still remember to add very preliminary information of the children while making EE Profile. The questions were very few , may be 5 but they definitely asked these questions within there separate sections.

I just wanted the confirmation from more members if I am missing something.

Opinions needed.. Thanks

I do not recall having answered questions about my kids in the EE profile, before the ITA (maybe the date and place of birth).
Double check you properly entered your 2 kids in your profile and if so, do not worry, the system 'knows' what to ask you.

Thank you for the reply.

I trust you are right. I also trust the system. Myself, I have checked 3 times in detail if I missed everything, but none !!

Actually it does not ask me about children at all. No names, place of births, dates or if they even exist, this is what worries me. There was one selection where system asked me how many family members we are.

But anyways, I have checked it enough of the times, and I will wait for more replies for another few hours before sending it through for submission.

Thanks again !

hello Faraz, in express entry they just want you and your spouse information for calculate the points , once you complete express entry profile and recieve a ITA then you will send all information about your dependents with your application.

Thank you all for the useful replies.

I have submitted the EE profile after you guys gave me your opinions. I value your thoughts and suggestions.

I am sure with the current trend in invitations people within 450 CRS will be eligible for ITAs.
Thank you again.

The EE profile is just to determine in a very preliminary way whether you might be eligible to apply for one of the programs. Since children have no impact on eligibility (except for proof of funds), there is no need to get their details at this stage. When you actually apply for PR, then you will give their details.
