Hi wonderful people,

Happy New Year!

I am creating my Express Entry profile (I work and live in Toronto). I am eligible for the EE (Working a B job full-time, meet the IELTS requirement, got a Canadian degree, and have a valid job offer). However, it's been 2 times that my profile was rejected, no score is shown. I guess the problems might come from below:
  1. Intended work in Canada: Was a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment issued for this job offer in Canada? - Yes or No? I don't know the LMIA number or dates. My company is an accounting firm, it definitely is a qualified employer.
  2. Work history - would previous Co-op work experienced be counted?
  3. As I read I need couple of documents ready for submitting the profile, I don't see any options/buttons for attaching my documents, do I need to submit the docs?

Appreciate your help!

1. Are you on an open or closed permit? If open, you don’t have a LMIA or a job offer. You can’t claim the 50 points.
2. Co-op in Canada during Canadian program- no doesn’t count.

I have a post-graduate work permit, so it's an open permit. I have a job offer. I don't know the LMIA number. Is that a Yes or No to the question?

Answer is no.

What you have don't qualify as a job offer under EE so no 50 points unfortunately.

You answer “no” to job offer and “No” to LMIA. You can only answer yes to a job offer if you have a LMIA & closed work permit.

Technically could answer yes if the employer got an approved LMIA (while still on the PGWP) - or if they OP was on an LMIA exempt closed work permit and had worked for the employer for a full year in Canada (no LMIA required in that case).
