Hi Everyone,

My NOC category is 2173(2174?). I am currently working in US as a software developer.

I completed my bachelors in 2011 and Masters in 2015, I worked in India for 2.5 years between 2011 and 2013. What date should I be using here?

I believe it should be the date I graduated from my undergrad college, because of this point
If the "primary occupation" is:
  • a qualified trade (four-digit code begins with 632, 633, 72, 73, 82, 92), this is the date they became qualified to practice on their own in Canada. (For example, when they moved from apprentice to being a licensed tradesperson.)
  • any other job, this is the date they first obtained the minimum education or training stated in the NOC description. (Note: if the NOC only states high school, this is the date they graduated.)
Can anyone here confirm.

Note : According to IRCC website : http://noc.esdc.gc.ca/English/noc/Profile.aspx?val=2&val1=2173&ver=16

The requirements are
  • A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or mathematics or Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.
  • A master's or doctoral degree in a related discipline may be required.
Appreciate your inputs.
Thanks.
