Hi there,

I received ITA for Express Entry (CEC stream) and I have prepared almost all document except the medical exam.
My spouse has PR already.

Does she have to do a medical exam too?

I would not mind paying her medical exam but the problem is we live far north and travel expense will be huge..

Thank you!

Is CIC asking for spouse Medical i.e. is spouse document upload section enabled for you? It should not be if spouse has PR.

Thanks Rajibsam.
I recently received ITA, so I am still in a process of gathering the application package.
So, they haven't asked me for the medical exam document of my spouse. I wasn't just not sure because CIC website says " family members must also have one (medical exam), even if they are not coming with you." [ http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-how.asp ] .

However, as you said, I think she would not need it :)

Thanks for your response!

I know that you've already found the answer, but just in case you wanted proof, here is what CIC says: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3999Etoc.asp
"Important information: Members of your family who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents do not need to pass a medical examination."
