EE application submitted about 1 month ago, but...

Hello everybody.

My Express Entry application was submitted 1 month ago, and my medical review was passed few days after submit.

I am wondering how long will it take for Eligibility Review and Background Check? Besides, does every applicant must have Background Check? Or is it only for certain applicants? I am a little worried as my case status has not been changed for almost 1 month.

Can anybody please advise? Thank you very much.

Depends on where you are applying from - Inside or Outside Canada. Check those threads to see progress of other members and you can exchange notes.

Background check is mandatory and possibly the longest stage in the entire process.

You'll have to wait it out - there are people waiting from the Feb batch without major updates.
