Applicants (the elite) with scores 550-600 can connect here, share experiences and help one another

You can be elite as you want to be, but it doesn't help when the cut off is 735 ;D

The cutoff is much lower than 735. If you score at least 500 then you are pretty much "safe".

How do you know the cut off scores. Check out the previous draws, there is never a guarantee is all I'm saying.

I agree thought that once you are at least 500, you're going to get drawn, but it's just a matter of when.

Last draw was 482 points
If there is another draw in two weeks then points might drop but if they wait for another 5 weeks then it will surely go above 750.

Seriously? The Elite??? What hubris. Ugh.

My reaction as well.

The only ones that could even remotely consider themselves "elite" are those with an ITA.

Not really. CIC takes care the slightest chances of impending hubris by rejecting applications for the smallest discrepancies. ;)

Agree only 'elites' are those who've actually received permanent residence for Canada. Getting ITA just entitles you to apply for PR, not a guarantee!

Just the whole classification is immature to say the least. Dividing ourselves into classes long before stepping so much as a foot on Canadian soil? How very forward thinking I must say.
