Not so sure this is exactly right. I believe the score has to be valid when you submit your PR application, not when you get your ITA.
For instance, my score was valid until April 17 of this year. I got an ITA on March 27, but because of the medical exam and police records, knew I would not be ready to upload the application to CIC until early May. I retook the IELTS on April 18, and will have the new score this Friday to upload. It's expensive, it's a pain - especially since English is my native and only language - but better safe than sorry.
