Hi Guys,

My citizenship application is due next month and I have couple of questions, on which I needs assistance;

a) How to fill the education/experience section. In my case I do both education and work together. So should I mention education in a separate line and experience in a separate line despite if the time period is same or both should be in the same line . Like below if we show separate the education/experience

From To Work/Education Employer/School Attended City Country
02/2012 Date Work ********* ******
02/2012 03/2014 Education ********* *******

b) Do we need to show voluntary experience, if yes how to support that.

c) I spent three years in Canada, and the experience and education they want is of 4 years, so should we show out of country experience and education as well

d) Also for Address, they want 4 years history while I spend three years in Canada, so should we show out of country residence as well.

e) Do we need to attest the experience or educations documents from somebody.

I would appreciate your help.

A) yes, mention on separate lines even if work and education dates overlap just make sure there are no gaps in 4 year period
B) no harm in showing volunteering experience, get an experience letter from management if possible, but not mandatory
C) yes
D) yes
E) no

I agree. Also keep in mind you're not required to submit any evidence of work or education at this stage. Regarding the time spent before landing which is included in the 4 years, make sure you provide the same information as you did for your PR application. Any discrepancy may get you in trouble. That means if the few months before getting your immigrant visa you declared you were residing at one address, you 're not gonna tell them now you were at a different address or different country. Remember it's all about credibility. They may not check your PR application but you never know.

Thanks for the info. What to do about education which was not disclosed in PR application as that were in progress at that time but now it is complete. This education completion is appearing in last 5 years instead of 4 years. Should I show that or just showing the current educations. Any idea?

They only ask for work/education during the 4 years preceding your application date so why worry about 5 years. Never give more information than what is required you may look suspicious or trying to cover something.

Thanks Goldline.

So that means, it is fine that if we have some extra education, and that is not in the CIC record. I want to make sure that I am not on the wrong side.
