Does anyone know about below questions!!!

1- If i have a 5 years gap in study, will it effect my application?

2- I did my Intermediate (HSC) High School Certificate, (FA) privately but i was studying in an Academy not any College, Does it make any difference?

3- I did my Bachelors from a Pvt College which was affiliated to HEC (Hight Education Commission) recognized University, I got Degree from that University but have letter of college as well that i was student of their college for 2 years and complete it with what so ever GPA. Is there any thing wrong in it or still i can go for it?

4- My University is already HEC recognized, do i need to attest my all certs including degree from foreign affair office or any other Govt Official?

?????

this must be the most confusing set of questions I have come across

what's the difference between Academy and College???

guess you are referring to some country specific circumstances that I do not understand

an education gap is not a matter of concern, I spent 15 years working after university before i studied for my MBA

but what do you mean by private study? if you DIY study at home, this is not going to have any meaning to CIC, I've been privately studying the female body for decades but cannot claim this as an educational qualification:-]

John,

If you were from Pakistan, you would surely understand what ever i am saying. I thought if anyone understand what i am exactly saying will reply me accordingly. Actually, here Academy Stands for those private tuition center which are not registered but giving tuition for them who are already regular in colleges or even giving private exams. Just a preparation center for any kind of Exam.

I think if i manage to get certificate from them that i was with them for studies, it will work.

Still if any one knows about it, clear me please.

Regards,

J...

Well jawad, if ur Matric, F.A. certificates r from Authentic educational boards n ur bachelors degree is from an accredited university by HEC, then its ok.CIC does not consider whether u were a private or a regular candidate, they just care tht the educational credentials shd be genuine n from recognized institutions in the home country.I ve read at this forum some other member s post about ONLINE degree from an accredited university n tht was accepted by CIC.As far as gap is concerned ,CIC also does not bother abt it as long as u were successful to complete ur degree. In my view the only thing u shd consider s ur required no of points ,i think rest s fine with ur case.Good Luck.

Thanks for your positive reply dear, i am all clear with it now.

my points are more then 70 at the moment as i have 10 in IELTS. Now just confuse about IELTS because its going to expire in september 2009. Some are saying i need to do it again, but my logic says that i should apply as it is because every time we dont get 10 points for language. I think CIC will consider my this Result if application is reaching them before it expires.

What do u think newcomer?

J...

DEAR JAWAD!! I m also pakistani and working abroad. questions you arises dont have any negative aspect. espacilly for canada immigartion.

1- study gap dosent matter, what matter is total numbers of educational years. like in pakistan upto master total numbers of education years are 16 but for immigartion you required masters with 17 years. so you will be awarded 22 points instead of 25. so you check for bachelor degree what status it have.

2-HSC is a reconized body all over the world. it dosent matter you passed it private or through school.

3-I did my MBA from Insitutue of leadershmeip and managemnt - lahore but degree is awareded by humdard university-karachi. what matter is your university must be reconized by HEC, because HEC is also reconized body all over the world.

4.you need to test all you educational, birth and other certifcates from ministry of forigen affairs. so that no doubt of fordged documents remains.

i hope you will be clear, if you still have any query send me msg.

Thanks bro, for your positive and helping reply. There are many things confusing me already since i am not using any lawyer or consultant. My numbers are already more then 70 ALHAMDULILLAH, but still i want to recheck every thing and i want to clear my mind before applying. One more thing confusing me is that my IELTS will expire this Sep 09. If i apply before it expires i am sure it will work for me Logically, Because i am already having 10 points of Language which i wont be able to take if i am going for IELTS again :) some are saying that i need to do it again if its one year older already though i never watched in any guide or web site about this issue. My mamoon is already PR in CA, he also said to apply before it expire they might consider it.

What do you think?

Hi jawad,in my view u shd not worry abt ur IELTS validity .I am more than 100% sure tht CIC accepts IELTS results VALIDITY WITHIN ONE YEAR OF APPLICATION, it means it shd be taken within one year of application .Suppose ur application reaches CIC in March 2009 n u took ur IELTS in sep.2008,then in that case u r very much in time, n no matter how much time it takes to process ur case afterwards,CIC ll not request u to retake IELTS as at the time of application ur result was very much valid.I read this some months back on CIC site, n was trying to locate the link but cant find out,in case if i ll be able to find it i ll paste it for ur satisfaction.I hope I m clear this time. Here is another link where u can find more info abt many issues, but even then if u r unclear abt any issue we r always ready to help u,good luck.

For CIC IELTS validity is one year. for other purposes it is two year. it must be valild at the time when they ask you to submit the supporting documents. in sep 2009 it turns to two years or one year????? if you seriously need IELTS points to reach the target of 67 than its better to renew it.

Its expiring in September 2009, I will take a chance, better i should apply under moderate level which contains 8 points in total. Right now i have 10 points in assessment. Even if i minus 2 points, i still qualify. Better i should send my application. And again start preparing to give new IELTS.

I did my Matric from Govt School, then Inter Pvt (Board of Education), BCS From Al-Khair, What will i wrote in Name of Institutions and about dates i need to mention?

I know its a botheration, but you guys are my brothers :)
