Hi

Has anyone applied for Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for Express Entry?
Is it a tough to get documents from universities (like Delhi University and Maharishi Dayanand University)?
Is there any assessment agency which does not require documents directly from the university?

I think that this is the worst stage in the whole Express Entry process for Indians because getting documents from government universities is not an easy job.

I think that this is the worst stage in the whole Express Entry process for Indians because getting documents from government universities is not an easy job.

You HAVE to get the requested documents from your Universities as there is no other Agency.

It is not that difficult, all universities follow a simple and same process-
- Take xerox of all your marksheets and degrees, and WES form (Google it), and take a Transcript request form from your University
- Take all these, fill the forms, and go to the Controller of Exam department (same in all Universities)
- Talk to them, explain your case, they would already know more about providing transcripts than you
- Pay the fee (yes there is a fee), and wait for them, it'll take around a week or two
- Ask them where they would courier it, some would give the sealed envelope (containing transcripts) to you directly, or might just courier it themselves to the WES Canada office
- Try taking it yourself, as they might use a crappy courier service and it will reach Canada in 45 days, better to courier it yourself via DHL, etc
- That's it....

And regarding bribes, fortunately, that is not the case anymore... They might delay it, so you have to be proactive and make them understand the urgency of the situation.. Do not offer any bribes... Push your case urgently...

Mine was done in three days, I was on a visit then, so i did it myself, brought it back to canada, sent them and was done in 2 weeks.

Did you get copies of the transcripts?
I think I would like to keep atleast 2 copies of it in case I want to apply to any other country or for studies?
