Can someone clarify the following

SR # 6 of VO check list:

I am a mechanical engineer, do i need to send the notorized copy of my degree or it should also accompany original transcripts in university sealed envelop.

SR # 7 of VO check list:

Do i only need to send the letters of reference from my present and previous employers OR i should also enclose the notorised employment contracts of my previous and present employers.

Your degree has to come with the transcripts as originals and sealed by your university. If this can't be given fir whatever reason, you send the notarized copies with a letter explaining the reasons behind it. Then, you hope they take it.

You need up to date reference letters in addition to the contracts, however many applicants faced difficulties getting old references due to closure, merges, acquisitions or bankruptcy of old companies, hence at this issue, you submit what you have with explanation letters.

Mezo thanks for reply.Could you further explain the following:

Sending original degree and transcripts sounds bit fearsome to me, what if they get lost !!!What is meant by sealed by the uni, original degrees and transcripts always bear the uni seal.
What if one does not have the old contracts !!!

Sealing refers to being in sealed envelop! All degrees usually bear a stamp or seal of the university. This is something else. CIC wants to ensure that universities themselves issue, package and mail the degrees and certificates, but since they can't enforce this, they ask applicants to do this. Just issue new certificates/transcript, put them inside an envelop, take it o the university, they will check it, close and stamp on it; usually on the opening part of the envelop.

There's little chance that papers are lost, however it could happen, no one guarantees. If you are in doubt or you can't get another original certification then, I suggest you send notarized copies. no worries.

must say you been really helpful mezo, when you say

It is not the normal practice dear. degrees are issued only once and i have already got one and max i can do is to take it to the uni and get the rest done as you said.Is it ok or you meant something else !!!

Yes, what you explained is right. Take your degree with a photocopy to your university and they will stamp it for you as identical to original. I know many of UK universities do this as they issue one certificate only.
