Hello,
I am currently in the process of creating my express entry profile. In the educational background section, the form asks me to enter whether I was a full time or part time student and asks for years of full-time study if I say I was a full-time student.
I completed my master's degree in environmental engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa, ON. For this degree, I was enrolled as a full-time student for 2 full years in addition to 2 semesters where I was a part time student. My question is:
How should I accommodate both the part time and full-time aspects of my program in my profile? The best option I can think of would be to complete the application indicating that it was a 2 year, full-time program and then when I receive the ITA, submit a letter of explanation indicating that there were also 2 semesters of part time study involved (and submit transcripts to back the claim). I called IRCC and the lady who answered seemed unsure. When I suggested this idea to her, she seemed to agree that this would be the best way forward.
The form will not allow me to enter a number with decimal places (so I cannot put 2.5 years for 2 and a half years), it has to be a whole number.
Thought I would check here since I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been through this
Thanks!
