Did ______ complete at least 50% of the study or training program's courses through in-person learning?
I completed two post-graduate certificate programs in Canada from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI). The first program was Construction Project Management (January 2022 - August 2022) and the second was Human Resource Management (January 2023 - August 2023). Both programs were conducted entirely through remote learning, and I was physically present in Canada during this period. These programs did not require in-person attendance for lab work or practicals, unlike other programs that were offered in a hybrid or in-person format.
To my knowledge, IRCC extended the transition period for distance learning measures until December 2023, which allowed students to be eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). However, I am unsure if this exemption applies to education points for the Express Entry Permanent Residence (PR) application.
Given that I did not complete at least 50% of my program through in-person learning, my response to the question “Did you complete at least 50% of the study or training program’s courses through in-person learning?” will be 'NO'.
Am I still eligible to claim education points for my PR application despite this?
