hello
i m applying in canadian university for MEd.i m planning to bring my family with me.my son is 5 years old and he is in grade 1. Do international students at a Canadian University with minor dependents have to pay extra for their children to go to school?Or are they charged the same as residents for children's school fees?

Have searched all over (CIC) and can find no mention about extra fees for minor dependents of students with Canadian study visa. But do know that in countries like Australia the government charges AUS$ 8000pa pr child until PR is granted.

Great if anybody can help.

1. Grade 1 starts at 6 in Canada.
2. Depends on the province, do a search for school board in the city where you will be studying. Most don't charge international fees if the parent has a study or work permit valid for more than a year.
