Hi All,
I have a education gap of 6 years and I'm working in an IT industry for past 6 years.
My IELTS score is L-7.5, R-6, W-6.5,S-6. Overall 6.5.. I'm planning to study PG diploma in BC, Canada for which I have an experience... Will the education gap reduce my visa success rate?? And am married , I'm 26 years old. Some consultancy say if you apply ur visa will get rejected as ur married nf edu gap.. please help me with your opinions..

If you worked in those 6 years, then it's not considered as gap as long as you pick a course which is related to your previous qualifications which includes your educational qualifications, work experience, etc. Mention in the SOP about how the course improves your job prospects in your home country. Show strong ties to your home country because you are in an ideal migratory age. Getting a letter from your employer which states they will employ you after your PG diploma will also help. So, Give it a try! If I were you, I will try for PR after improving my IELTS score and attend the college for much cheaper tuition fees.

Couple things missing in your post like what are your current qualifications and what course are you planning to apply for ? A gap can be overcome but if your qualifications , work experience and course do not make sense that is a different matter

Thanks a lot for your response... Can I apply for PR with this score??? or do I need more marks?? What thought is if I have a academic in Canada it will boost my PR points...

Use the CRS calculator to get your current score. After that, use the same calculator with improved IELTS score like band 8 and see the result. Should it come close to 430 - 450, you have good chance of getting an ITA!

I completed B.Sc Information Technology and working in a IT industry as a warehouse application analyst under supply chain management... I'm planning to do PG.dip in supply chain management...

Since you are already working in supply chain management CIC will most likely consider that the diploma will not improve your skills or advance your career. You will have to try to show this diploma will lead to career advancement and new skills.
