Editing NOC after submitting the PR application, problem with NOC 2173 vs 2174

Hello folks,

I got my ITA three weeks ago and submitted my application a week ago. My job title is `system software developer`. I asked my company to give me the employment reference letter for NOC 2173. The company gave me a letter in which duties for 2174 were listed in the duty.

I didn't notice that the 2174 duties were listed in my letter and I thought the HR person rephrased the duties listed in NOC 2173. Unfortunately, I submitted my application...

Is there any way that I can edit my application? I listed NOC 2173 as the occupation that I have work experience for, but the duties in the letter are for 2174.

I filled the webform two days ago and asked IRCC to change my NOC to 2174.
Waiting for the reply.

You should have asked your employer to list the job duties you perform in your role and matched that to the relevant NOC. Matching to the correct NOC is very important, and I don't think you can change it once you've submitted all your documentation. Hopefully IRCC can take it into consideration otherwise your application might be refused.
