OK, so I need some clarification and pointers on this one.
I am trying to apply for my citizenship, which requires my mothers Canadian birth certificate (she was born in Montreal, QC)
However, there is a slight problem with this. She was born in 63, and has her Baptismal birth certificate which is not accepted by the Canadian gov't as per the change in 1994 requiring my mother to get a new birth cert from the Quebec gov't.
***She contacted them to try and do so, and they told her that she needed some type of number (i believe a revenue number or something of the sort.) They said they would mail it, and this was 4 months ago. She hasn't received it yet, and I'm not sure how long it was supposed to take. What I'm trying to figure out is the time frame, and what exactly she needs to do after she gets said number. Thanks in advance for all your help! ***
