Dear All, Sorry for being dumb but please can someone explain me getting the transcripts from university in sealed envelop in simple terms..

For example: For my bachelor degree, can I take color Photocopies of my 1st, 2nd and 3rd year marksheets + Degree and put it in an envelop and get it stamped/signed from University.. Or Do I also need to get the photocopies attested from Uni or Notary or someone else? Kindly help...

Each university has their own way of doing it. Contact your university. It has to be sealed by university and sent to you or to evaluating agency.

You just go to your university and ask them to attest your degrees along with marksheets, and put them in envelope, seal the envelope and stamp it over. Universities knows what you are asking. Don't forget to mention that you need it for foreign evaluation.

Some universities, do not attest photocopies, they have their own format stating that this student has completed this particular degree and attended particular subjects and scores. They use that format and seal it with university stamp.

My Masters is from UK (Where the whole process is clear and online), however my Bach is from India and and I am not sure if there is any process in place. So I will have to go there and pust them to get things done. I read this on Canadian immigration website that, you can send the transcripts in sealed envelop.. But it wasn't mentioned anywhere or maybe I was unable to find that if photocopies needs to be attested or not.

You need to find out the process with your university through your friends or relatives. When it says sealed envelope it means university pastes the flap and then put their official seal on it and gives it to you or send it to agency.
