Why is e cas not updating some of the correspondence I.e when it changed to
in proces sept 6 I received a mail instructing I pay rprf for them to proceed ,however it's not showing on e cas

ECAS is VEEEEEEEERY slow. It's up to the VO to update it, and most VO's don't update it very quickly.

eCAS is very very slow in updating the status.My wife's status still shows Application Received even though I have forwarded her Passport to New Delhi Office last week...Still no change in status.....

So we dont have to rely on ecas because they are not updated?

Well thats the only option we have to see our updates but I mean to say just dont completely rely on that.I read hear that some applicants still has there update on eCAS as Application Received and but in reality they have already received there passport back with Visa....So no one knows how eCAS cases gets updated.....Good luck
