Hello! Everyone,
I sent my full set of documents on 18th June 2009 (Visa Office: New Delhi), & since than the E cas status didn't change. It showed the same old status message 'ELLIGIBLITY REVIEW COMPLETE'. I tried to check my status today & now it shows:

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not yet begun processing it. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:
Application Processing Times
At this time, you may use this on-line service to view the status of your application ONLY if you have:
sponsored a member of the family class;
applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada;
applied for a permanent resident card (initial, replacement or renewal);
applied for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship);
applied for Canadian citizenship for a person adopted by a Canadian citizen (on or after January 1, 1947);
applied for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship);
applied to renounce Canadian citizenship; or
applied to resume Canadian citizenship

I fail to understand why is it not displaying the information? I have entered the correct details for 10 times now but it still shows the same. I am too scared now. Has someone of you experienced this before?
Kindly reply....

Thanks

Your application has not been entered by ND, until you get the 120 day letter it is doubtful that you will find anything on ecas.

I have never been able to check my status even though I received the AOR from Sydney and submitted full application to the Visa office. I contacted them but they said they can see my file on their system! and they asked me to wait for the new AOR. It has been almost 3 months with no new AOR now! They only said that the have NOT changed my file number but I have never ever been able to check my status. Any ideas?

Hey! Guys,
My status on Ecas is changed today & now it shows: -

Your application and supporting documents were received by the New Delhi office. They are pending review.

Although they didn't mention any date when they received but i am a bit relaxed now.
Hope everything else works out smoothly...

All the Best & tc.

What a coincidence!!. I have always wondered if the CIC has got "agents" on this site?

It's good to know I am not alone...

Now I'm in swaps82's original dilemma. Same situation, same ecas status, and then suddenly the message you got is the message I am getting for not being able to login to ecas. Local visa office received my full application on July 1. Yesterday my ecas is still showing 'eligibility review complete', now nothing, I can't access it.

I hope the ecas will change to the same status you got, that is, that they have received my documents and are pending review.

@swap82, kindly let me know once you receive mailed or emailed AOR because I understand that is the official correspondence and not ecas.

Hello! Mom2karl,
Well, i havent received any AOR yet i guess i should receive it by post next week. I heard it takes 3-4 weeks as i have sent my documents on the 18th June. Well, u don't have 2 panic, i am sure ur status will surely change by tomorrow as ecas is always updated on Tuesdays. All the best. Don't worry & in mean while if i receive any updates from CIC i will surely post it here.

Thanks

swaps82,

Hi, I got the same case. Yesterday I was able to check my status at e cas. Now my name is no longer identified in the system using the file number issued from Sydney. I submitted full my application under the new rules last June 22, 2009. So, with your experience I can say that there is already a development in my case and soon I can see an update with my e cas status.
Friend, did you receive a new file number from your local visa office after submitting your full application? Thanks you very much.

Dear all,
I received a letter today stating a new file number. The first paragraph states,

Dear Sir,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada which was received at this office
on 23rd June. We have created a file with the file number pasted above.This file number is different
than the one that was assigned to you by the Case Processing Centre in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada.
You must quote this file number in any future correspondence.
Before your application can be placed in processing, a determination will be made as to whether
or not you are eligible for processing. If your application is not eligible for processing, you will
receive a letter informing you of the reasons for the decision as well as a refund.

I checked the status on e-cas & it shows received by Visa Office. This letter was dated 6th July.

Any updates from anybody else???

That's great news swaps82! I'll be watching your case...

I also have some good news. Finally eCas is up again. I've been checking from time to time thinking that it was down or the system is being repaired as I haven't been able to log into my account for almost 2 days now.

It now says that my application and supporting documents were received by the local visa office and that they are pending review. Here's hoping to receive mailed AOR just like yours.

@aspire, pls check if you can log in to your account now.
