Ecas status Description changed, now after clicking "In Process" it says :

We started processing your application on June 3, 2009.

I have sent my Full Aplication to CHC,Isb on 7th may,2009,didnt recieve any AOR yet.Now whats the meaning of this status? Does that mean that I have cleared the Point Assessment stage? Senior members ,kindly enlighten me with ur opinionon this.

When you click at "In Process", just underneath the Logout button you'll see 3 links -

"Application for Permanent Residence Outside Canada
Application for Permanent Residence in Canada
Application for Permanent Residence - Federal skilled Worker submitted to Sydney, Nova Scotia
"

If you click at "Application for permanent residence outside Canada" you'll see this explanation of "In Process"

"Status of your application Explanation
IN
PROCESS
(A decision has not been made yet.)
Application Received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
We have received your application and will review it in order of receipt. We will send you an acknowledgement letter.

Documentation Verified by CIC
We are reviewing your application to make sure it is complete and that no documents are missing. We will return incomplete applications for resubmission.

An Interview May be Required
We will review the application and decide if an interview is necessary. If so, we will inform you in writing of the date, time and location of the interview."

Now thats a vague explanation thats been given there,u dont know where u r standing!!!! my opinion on that is if a person is not eligible in terms of Points then I think they would have rejected right away ,y they would have even bothered to update this status? Since processing has been started from 3 June,I think they might have gone through all these steps. This "In Process" status will remain there until they recieve medicals.Their explanatin of statuses is only confusing Applicant.

"In process" means that you have been deemed eligible in terms of points and supporting documentation, and your application will be fully reviewed by a visa officer in order of receipt upto the point of either approval (subject to document verfication and/or a successful interview) or rejection. Whats confusing in this?

What do u mean by "It will be fully reviewed by a Visa Officer".Once Application has been positively assessed in terms of Points and Supporting Documents as mentioned by you ,then whats the big deal of that Application being re-assessed again by a Visa Officer? and by the way one of my friend has noticed this change in Ecas after the verification of his documents and employer checks were done,so its kind of Post-Verification stage now, thats y I am saying that if they have already done the employer verification and then changed the Ecas Status ,it simply means that one has crossed that barrier of Point Assessment and now Medical Request is under way, isnt it?

See that,

(Operational Bulletin from CIC)

When does processing start?

"Processing begins once the visa office has determined that the application is eligible for processing. In practice, this means the application will be assessed against the Ministerial Instructions. If it is determined that the applicant meets the Instructions, a“1” will be entered at the paper-screening (T-11) stage. This will indicate that the file has entered processing and no refund will be permitted after this point. The usual Federal Skilled Worker paper screening will then begin. If a visa officer discovers during processing (e.g., at interview or through document/reference verifications) that the applicant does not have work experience in one of the NOC codes specified, the officer will refuse the application and the applicant will not be eligible for a refund. "

it means that point assessment has not yet been done,we have only passed the Ministerial Instructions eligibility and now our documents will be completely verified and point assessment will be done.At this stage Application can be refused for not attaining the minimum 67 points or some problem in verification of documents. Now I think its clear that we are in preliminary stage.
