ECAS STATUS/DEPENDENT CHILD PROBLEM

Hello guys, can you please help me i just have a question if how long would it take for ecas to change from "in process" to "decision made" .I am my mother's dependent child for her pr application in aug.2011 under LICP. also, would the interruption of studies be a problem eventhough i was classified as type A dependent under 22 during my mother's application as i am 24years old now?i stopped studying when i was 23 but i am 21when my mom applied for PR,i am just confused because it seems like the "lock in age"for child dependency does not even work.please help
