Who is best suited to do ECA of PGDM obtained from XIC? WES, IQAS, CES or BCIT? Need urgent help
Go for WES if u have time constraints..
Bachelor's degree + PGDM mostly evaluated same by any ECA organisations,
for 4 years Indian Bachelor degree + PGDM Canadian equivalency is Canadian Bachelor's and PG diploma - U get points for Two or More degree, diploma, certificate option (119 points) in EE profile
For 3 years Indian Bachelor's degree + PGDM Canadian equivalency is Canadian Bachelor's 4 years

WES evaluates all credentials u submitted in single fee. For CES, IQAS u have to pay fee separately for every credentials (degree, diploma , certificate ) u submitted

IQAS does not charge for every credential. It charges single fee. WES is not good in recognising PGDMs from India. Go with IQAS it will take time but it is worth it. CES and ICES charge for each credential evaluation.

Yes, correct it to ICES after CES from my earlier post
PGDM 1 or 2 years from India usually evaluated as Graduate/Post Graduate diploma for Canadian equivalency only exceptions are PGDM awarded by IIMs and other institutions declared by AIU as equivalent to MBA degree from India, Check this info from AIU website, download PDF from link - Name of The Institution... Higher Education to verify ur PGDM awarding institute is in this list

Thanks guys, WES was useless. It doesn’t recognise XIC at all will try CES or ICES. One query though, can I have 1 evaluation from WES and my PGDM evaluation from CES?

I have the same issue! WES doesn't recognise XIC. Any luck with the other agencies?

1. It is okay if you have evaluations from different agencies
2. For IQAS, please refer following links to get a fair bit of idea of how they evaluate Indian degress -
https://www.alberta.ca/iqas-education-guide-india.aspx
https://www.alberta.ca/documents/IQAS/india-international-education-guide.pdf

PS: According to pdf (2nd link) PGDM from XLRI and XIM get Masters equivalency

So on researching a little, I found out that Xavier’s is an autonomous college with NAAC accreditation. I don’t know how helpful that is. According to CES, if the college can prove that it’s autonomous with documentation then they consider. So I was thinking of getting the XIC transcripts attested by Xavier’s. I will keep you updated about it though

That's the problem I guess. Agencies generally refer to UGC and AICTE guidelines before concluding on Canadian equivalency.
WES does not consider AICTE approvals, they require UGC approval to consider an institute as a recognised institute.

okay. I am not aware of which agency refers to which of the body:). However generally between these two is what I understand.

In my view, if an institution does not have UGC recognition or is not affiliated to a UGC recognised institute, it is not recognised by any evaluation agency. UGC takes precedence over AICTE, because, UGC is the sole approver of universities/college's recognition. AICTE is concerned with the curriculum of technical education in institutes.

Spot on. That's where you can have cases where institute is recognized, but few of the courses it if offering might not have approval. Observed few days ago that some course by PTU during 2012-14 wasn't approved and hence IQAS did not evaluate it

Yes. However, AICTE is concerned only with technical education such as B.Tech, BE and M.Tech. Other programmes would need approval from designated bodies such as Medical Council of India for MBBS/MD/MS, LLB/LLM for Bar Council of India and etc..
