ECA for NIT, Trichy - has anyone done it after Dec 1st, 2018?

I was told that the rules have changed on Dec 1st. I have MCA from NIT, trichy.

I'm planning to go in a week's time.
  1. Do I need to get attestation separately from both NIT as well as Bharathidasan University?
  2. How easy/hard is the process? Is it enough to just go in person, take the originals and photocopies with me? Are there any other steps involved (other than taking the DD)?
Can someone who has done it in the last 3 weeks help? Thank you
