I have another master's degree, so I'm not concerned with the points. I was wondering if would need an ECA to certify that I was in fact doing what I said I was during that time period, which I might have to state in the personal history section. I have my ITA and I'm filling this out now. The education section in the express entry profile I filled out before ITA had the option to state that a diploma was not received for a particular degree. I am now wondering if I should have filled in details of the master's I did not finish and state that I did not receive a diploma.
I would suggest you mention your on-going degree in the express entry profile because you will be asked two questions right after you add your degree. There is one question, which asks you whether the degree you just added is on-going/complete. The next (last) question in the education history section, has a drop-down selection, which says "Did you receive and ECA for this credential? Y/N ".
You can mark it as - No.
So CIC knows you have an on-going master's for which you did not get ECA done only because you cannot get an ECA done for an on-going degree and that will also help you explain what you did in that time period.
Hope this helps. Congratulations on your ITA.
