ECA awaited....how to reflect when I create profile

Hi,

I just created my express entry profile. I have applied for ECA for my master's but not yet received the report. While creating profile they ask for ECA report date , number etc. which I obviously don't have as of now. So is there any way that I get the points for my education pending the ECA by not filling these details required for ECA. This way I ll get my ITA as my score will be >453 (including education) and since I have 60 days to apply after getting ITA, I ll get the ECA within the 60 days period. This will help me in not waiting for the next draw after ECA.

I had the exact same dilemma. However I thought not to risk and leave anything to chance rather fill your EE when you have the ECA in hand. The reason I am saying that what date do you put down when the question asks date ECA received and reference number. Could be viewed as misrepresentation by CIC especially if you received an ITA. Your profile will be locked and you would have to prove with backup documentation. I know some people might differ and say that you can just amend afterwards. Hope this helps you out
