E CAS- STATUS CHANGE ????????

Seniors,

Does as I am awaiting my passport from CHC New Delhi, I still see the ECAS as "In process".

Does the ECAS status changes before the passport is recd. or is it that the passport is recd. only after the E CAS is changed.

Appreciate your experiances..........
