This was not there a few days ago. When they do this does that mean that my case in the process of being worked on? Or is that just a update? Cause I had to send in my marriage certificate about 3 or 4 weeks ago that they said they didn't have from my. My AOR date was Nov. 5 2008. I'm just curious do they update your case if they aren't working on it? or they update your e-cas stuff when they are currently working on your case?

Thanks,

No, they don't update when they're not working on your case. So this definitely means they've made some progress. Congratulations! Though it doesn't guarantee they will be finished with your application soon, it's definitely good news.

on My E-cas it shows the same but when I sent an email to the Visa office with a scanned copy of my marriage certificate they confirmed by email that my file in the queue and didn't reach the next stage so I'm assuming it still not processed or looked at yet.
May I ask how since when your application was received at the visa office.

Well my AOR date is Nov. 5th. I got an email from Buffalo, Consulate saying that my application is in the final stage that was about a month and a half ago. Then I got a letter saying that they still needed my marriage certificate so I sent that to them about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Then I look this morning and see that medicals received updated on e-cas. So i'm hoping that they are currently working on my case.

Marlena, do you think that my case is in the queue though? Cause I know when you have to send in documents your case is put on hold until they get the documents they requested.....???

They never requested any documents on my case. Originally when I sent my application to CIC-M, I only provided them with a copy of record of marriage rather than the actual marriage certificate since i still didn't receive it at the time when my application was sent. I had wrote CIC a note to let them know that I will sent them a copy when its received. I figured out by emailing the visa office abroad and attached a copy of the certificate it shouldn't delay the process since it still at early
On my E-case it read "We started processing Joe Doe application on April 29, 2009.

Medical results have been received.

but when I sent the email which it was after the update on E-cas. There reply was "Please be advised that the application is in queue for assessment. we will contact you when the application reaches the next stage of processing. In the meantime, if there is any change in the information submitted for the application please inform us as soon as possible.
I hope you are not confused!!!!

Ok, so your case seems to be in early stages then if they just started processing your case since April 29, 2009

They started processing my case since Nov.5 2008. So it's at about the 7 month mark. They also included in my email I got from them that my case is under final review as a side note that my medicals expire August 14, 2009.

So at this point, i'm waiting waiting waiting. Hoping that any week now i'll get something from them with a decision.

I was worried that maybe my case could be on hold for a long time when they requested that they wanted me to send in my marriage certificate. I was worried that they wouldn't look at my case again for a long time, but maybe this update on e-case is a positive sign that they are working with it after my marriage certificate has been sent back in.

I am gonna try to get my wife to contact the MP maybe I can find out for sure more info.

Marlena,

your comments have me curious now... as I am researching some of my husband's case information, and I am a few weeks ahead of you..so I want to know where best to look.

Are you seeing these comments under the sponsorship tab or under the permanent residence tab?

Also, how are you searching/seeing his information, as with the letter I received, all it has is MY client-id and a kit # - which has no correspondence to his actual file for online status update purposes on E-cas. How are you seeing the spouse information without a formal AOR, to have the file number etc...???

Thanks for the information in advance.

Hi Rasha,

on my PR application status it read in process and when I click on it it read "Permanent Residence"
We started processing xxxxxx application on April 29, 2009.

Medical results have been received.

I don't know if you read on my previous threads but I had received my actual marriage certificate. Since I didn't send it originally I decided to email to visa office abroad last week. They had replied to my email and confirmed if I want to submit anything to do so. I never received any AOR but they had provided me with my spouse file number it starts with B and 8 numbers afterward. They even said my application in the queue and to submit any information as soon as possible.

ahh ok I got you :-). Thanks it doesn't show that on my file but I have been told if I do the same thing [get in contact with them, that it will open the file and start things - I also need to send something, so I will contact them and see how best to get this last document to them.] Thanks!

Well i'm late in the game, so when I saw this message on my file today I was pleasently surprised.

Aren't the two big deals are the Background checks and medicals?

You think if I email them again that they will tell me that my marriage certificate was received and my case is being worked on or should I leave it for now?

You are welcome Rasha.

I think I took a chance by sending the document but I guess since my file still in the queue i shouldn't worry about the delay. At least i'm in peace having that important of piece of document sent so I won't have to submit at later date.
I find them they are very quick at replying to my email.

Oh yeah and one more thing?

Is it more likely for Buffalo that I will receive something in the mail as far as a decision made or will it show up on e-cas first?

i've always been curious about this?

I heard different opinion on E-cas and every case is different so I don't know if they update to all all of them .I read in this froum they update the status to be read decision made but they won't say if it's approved or not.

No visa office tells you on e-cas if the application was approved or rejected. They just say "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

Don't know how Buffalo works, I just went through Vienna and I got the passport request almost 2 weeks before e-cas changed to Decision made.

Congratulations Mitamata.
What is the normal processing time in Vienna for a PR???? I should have checked myself but just to have an idea.
