Duolingo test being accepted for study permit by CIC?

Several Canadian public institutions have been posting on their websites that they will be accepting Duolingo test results temporarily.

Does it mean CIC will accept Duolingo test results and not ask for academic IELTS or TOEFL?

Duolingo exam is only for universities and colleges admission purpose. If you will give that exam then you will able to get admission,But for visa file you have to give IELTS, PTE or TOFEL. So my suggestion is that don't give duolingo.
