Dear All,
My husband and I received a Canadian green card about 4 months back and we are planning to go to Canada to live permanently in August 2008. But my husband received a DWI/DUI (not sure which one) after we received the Canadian green card stamping by mail in while we are living in USA.
Now I am reading online that if you have a DWI/DUI you won't be admissible to Canada. What will happen to us when we try to go to Canada? Will they reject his green card stamping right there on the port itself? Will I as his wife (secondary applicant) be able to go to Canada by myself? Or because the husband being inadmissible, I will be automatically rejected also? Could you please give me some info on this? I don't want to be stuck in the port of entry or have more Hassel than I already have. I will be really thankful if you can advise me some info on this? Is there any other way of getting around this problem?
