I had a DUI arrest in 2012 December with BAC 0.087 (limit was 0.08) and got convicted with Reckless driving in July 2013 . I do not have any tickets prior to this incident nor later . My employer in USA is planning to apply for work permit to move to Canada for a year or two , I haven't informed my employer about my past Reckless driving history as it dint show up in the employment verification when I joined this company . what is the process to get Work permit in Canada or a visitor visa with the Reckless driving record after 10 years now. please guide me the process if I can do it myself or need to hire an attorney to get the eligibility to enter Canada and how long does this process take ?

You are going to have to tell your employer as this can definitely affect your chances of getting a WP. Both DUI and Reckless driving are criminal code offences in Canada and can make you inadmissible to enter Canada. If you don't want your employer to know of your conviction you might want to reconsider going ahead with the application. IRCC will consider the type of conviction, how long ago and any further convictions after in processing the application. I suggest you consult with an immigration lawyer before proceeding as this is a serious matter and the forum members aren't qualified to give a legal opinion. You can read about some more about it here:

Thinks it’s about time to let your employer in on your little secret
