Dubai police certificate disaster

hi all

I applied for Dubai pcc from London embassy for husband who is main applicant. husband went to Dubai for studies and stayed 6 months back in 2003 when he was 19.

husband now a british national applied for the certificate through London embassy in june 2017 (we do not have anyone in Dubai)

embassy said it would take three months but nothing has happened yet. the embassy people have been horrendous and refusing to cooperate and haven't even given us reference number and only communicating through email

I applied on 24 sep and got AOR. now my application is in ip1 stage and in loe we have explained the situation and attached application form and fingerprints that we submitted to Dubai embassy and attached our email correspondence with the embassy staff.

is it possible cic might waive this?

can I raise a cse and ask cic that I could not got to Dubai from uk to get this certificate if cic still thinks that they require this or else will reject the application

please advise

How long after ITA did you submit the application? (When did you get ITA?)

I don't think CIC will waive this, since you have already submitted proof that you tried to get the PCC, what you can do now is raise CSE and request additional time to submit the PCC.

If the embassy route fails then try to get the fingerprints attested by the embassy then use an agency that deals with UAE PCC to obtain it from UAE.

I got ita in june and I waited for police certificate until September just for that one certificate.

I mentioned in my loe that if it wasn't for this certificate then I would have sent the application back in july.

I have already submitted finger prints through the embassy and submiited all my communication with the embsassy to cic. this communication period is for three months where Dubai embassy staff who desnt even know how to speak English in London is just telling me to wait wait and wait

can I raise a cse and tell cic that do they want me to go to Dubai from uk to get this since this is the only option I have now.

I do not have any family or friends there.

Ok you have a good case to request more time to submit the PCC as you waited before submitting and showed proof that you tried. As earlier stated CIC will not waive this however as they don't expect people to face too much difficulty in obtaining UAE PCC.

What I suggest, raise a CSE to request to be granted additional time to submit the PCC. I assume you went to embassy to request the PCC and this is why it has taken so long. What you need to do is only get the fingerprint attested by the UAE embassy in London, then once you have that you need to engage one of those services that deals with following up on PCC for people who don't have relatives in UAE (Ive seen a few agencies here and there but cant vouch for any), Once you get the fingerprint attested it takes 7-14 days to get the PCC. Many people engage such agencies especially those who don't have people in the respective country.

If all else fails then u have to go to UAE and get it done there.

thanks for your advice but do u think I should raise a cse and tell cic that I have tried everything and the only option is now is to go to Dubai. ill ask them if they want me to do that then say yes so I could go. I chased the embassy today but got a very rude reply so ill attach that reply as well

Yes Raise the CSE and give them an update of the situation and request more time to submit the PCC. Please note that CIC will not tell you whether to go to Dubai or not, that decision will be up to you.

Safe and Logical solution to people in such cases are Raise a CSE with all the evidence of correspondence and that you have been proactive. Through the forum we have seen people getting extensions. Waivers I have not come across. Please do post your progress. Wishing you all the worlds luck and wishes.

Can't you apply it online at Dubai Police website? I guess you just have to upload the finger prints along with your passport copies and photographs. It seems that their TAT is less than 15 days.

no the process is not that easy. dubai is a rubbish country with dilapidated technology system copied from hollywood.

this system that you are suggesting is for current residents who are currently living there and have valid emirates id which is a must for police certificate

i made a mistake of going to this country 13 years ago when there were no emirates ids etc. the process for people like me is excruciatingly difficult

I checked it few days ago and they need fingerprints to be scanned for non residents without emirates ID.

Check again in Dubai Police website.

can i also use this link for sharjah? the visa i got was from sharjah but i lived in both dubai and sharjah

UAE ministry of interior is centralized. So it should work.
